My first mountain bike race, where only knowing sinletrack at Logs, to going all in at the 50k Hardwood Single Track Challenge. Although I didn’t place well, I learned a number of great lessons, including planning, the value of training, and the joys of singletrack. A well run race, at an excellent venue.

The race where it all started, my first adventure race, although I may not have known what I was doing, and I did not impress, the venue was awesome, and the experience amazing. Although I’m a triathlete first, a runner second, adventure racing continues to hold a soft spot in my heart.
