The following routes are mainly gravel cycling routes exploring what I’ll call the Western Greater Toronto Area including Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo/Cambridge, and Wellington.
The routes are all designed as day trips generally in the area of 80-120km.
My Ride Report – Exploring Gravel – Hillsburgh to the Luther Marsh – May 2021
This ride is a relatively flat, 86km loop, starting in Hillsburgh, west along the Elora Cataract Trailway to the Grand River, north to the Luther Marsh, and back along mainly gravel roads.
My Ride Report – Exploring Gravel – West Montrose Covered Bridge to Elora – June 2021
My favourite gravel ride of the year so far happened in early June 2021. The route started just outside of Guelph, followed parts of the Guelph to Goderich Rail Trail, with the highlights being the West Montrose Covered Bridge and the historic village of Elora.
My Ride Report – Exploring Gravel – Cambridge Loop – May 2021
The Cambridge Loop was discovered on Ride with GPS while searching for route options in the KWC area. The route was created by Ron M, who has also built lots of other routes I want to explore via Ontario Gravel Week.
